CareZone | Patrice’s Story – Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s

“CareZone has been a lifesaver and has saved me a great deal of time when it comes to preparing my dad’s pills.”

—Patrice

Patrice cares for her father who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s/dementia and diabetes four years ago. Here’s what she shared with CareZone about caring for her dad:

What is the most challenging part of managing your dad’s condition?
With dementia, it’s a journey and each day is different for my dad.

What advice would you give to someone who is caring for a loved one?
Know that the disease is not who you love. Be patient when characteristics that aren’t the norm for your loved one show up and affect their mood.

How do you de-stress?
I love yoga and swimming, and adult coloring books are the best!

What’s your superpower?
Going to my happy place!
